Composition of the Council
The affairs of the Association shall be conducted by a Council consisting of a President, Vice-President, 2nd Vice President, the immediate past President, and twenty two elected members.
The President and Vice-President shall fill the following criteria:
- be of appropriate rank within the Coal Mining Industry.
- be conversant on industry matters
- be able to fulfill a full term as Vice-President and President
- have served one full term on Council prior to nomination as Vice-President
Elected members shall each be nominated in writing by two Ordinary Members at least one month before the Annual General Meeting each year and shall be elected by sealed written ballot of all Ordinary Members.
